Journal -- Framed!

Recently I found an old art journal I started several years ago in a class with artist Kelly Kilmer.  Each page has a frame cut nad I will be making works of art to insert in each window.  I decided to try collaging across some of the windows, glue on some extensions, etc ... just to shake things up a bit.

I didn't have any real design for the cover, but just felt like adding a starfish and painting.  I like the look, but it may take some additional work to keep it from looking like an ocean-themed book.

Great to see you blogging again! I still love the cover the way it is and don't think it makes it look like it will be an ocean themed book. I think your chameleon is wonderful. Love the texture of both this page and the cover.

I love finding artwork from days past. Your journal looks great now but I can't wait to see how you transform it to suit the artist you are now.

I like the cover with the coins (?), but will be interesting to see what you do. Visiting again from AB group.

Karen, thanks for sharing about Val. I really like the 3 dimension on your top piece. Gives me something to think about in terms of art journaling.
