Egyptian Sun and Sunflower Musings

Egyptian Sun Sunflower Musings

Here are a couple more pages from my Kelly Kilmer collage classes. We used wax pastels to blend in our backgrounds and get a neat variegated rainbow kinda look ... and boy do I love these wax pastels!

aaaaah! I love the sunflower musings! My first *attempt* at altered art was a sunflower page, so I know how blessed difficult it is to cut all those little shapes out. You did a great job! :)

Looks great, Karen. You reminded me that I really liked my wax pastels too but I've barely touched them since the one class I used them in! Time to get back to those. ;-))

The Egyptian Sun and Sunflower are just beautiful! I like the effect that you got with the wax pastels--makes it very cohesive and soft. I have the chalk pastels and oil pastels, but haven't heard of wax pastels. I'll have to look into it. Thanks for sharing your wonderful work!

Hi Karen,
Love the overall look. I don't think I've tried wax pastels. I took Kelly's class to in Lake Elsinore, Ca. I made a small book like she had and really got a kick out of it. So much of what I did looks unfinished and I think maybe the pastels like you did would finish it off. Thanks for the great work.
